Details: At Family Math Nights, Explorations in Math and its partner schools work together to engage students, parents, and teachers in playing math games together. The atmosphere is electric and the enthusiasm and confidence effervescent! Explorations in Math staff members provide the “know-how” on how to facilitate this engaging event for the community and our volunteers jump in with extra sets of hands and positive attitudes about math to give a whole new dimension to family fun! These events for partner school communities. We ask volunteers to please leave your little ones at home unless they are 16 and older and would like to volunteer themselves. Check back regularly during the school year to find a Family Math Night that works for your schedule. We will need first, middle, and last names and dates of birth for a mandatory background check on anyone volunteering. If you volunteered with us at MathFest 2011 on Nov. 3, your background check is current and we do not need to run another one. E-mail volunteer@eimath.org to sign up!
