MathFest 2010 is Coming Soon!
Published on August 11 2010
MathFest has been instrumental in demonstrating how much the community supports the achievement of the children and families at Explorations in Math partner schools. MathFest has grown from 450 participants in 2007 to the huge success of MathFest 2009 where over 800 individuals crowded the gym. This year’s MathFest promises to be our biggest and best ever—you’ve never seen math like this before.
More than 900 elementary-age students and their parents, teachers, and school leaders, and 100 volunteers are expected to crowd booths, waiting their turn to build tetrahedrons, solve algebra puzzles, and play “Shut the Box” and other math-related games. We expect more people than ever to “Join the Math Movement” and experience first-hand how Explorations in Math transforms attitudes about math and helps kids build confidence in and enthusiasm for math.
MathFest 2010 will be from 5PM-8PM on November 4 at the Rainier Community Center. MathFest is not to be missed- mark your calendar! Contact us today if you’re interested in becoming a MathFest volunteer or sponsor.
